ReStore Associate

Habitat for Humanity of Gallatin Valley is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and positive individual to join our amazing ReStore team!

The ReStore Associate is a hands on position that assists with receiving and processing donations, moving merchandise, helping customers, keeping the store and donation areas organized, and supporting the ReStore team with daily operations. Pay starts between $17-$19 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, load, unload, and move donated items, including furniture, appliances, building materials, and other heavy merchandise

  • Assist customers and donors in a friendly and professional manner

  • Help evaluate, sort, organize, clean, and prepare donated items for the sales floor

  • Stock and organize merchandise throughout the ReStore

  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized donation, warehouse, and sales floor areas

  • Assist with loading customer purchases into vehicles

  • Safely use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment

  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks

  • Communicate and work effectively with staff, volunteers, donors, and customers

  • Follow all ReStore and Habitat for Humanity safety procedures

  • Assist with other ReStore duties as needed

Requirements

  • Must be able to regularly lift and move 50+ pounds

  • Good Customer Service is a MUST

  • Forklift certified (preferred)

  • Comfortable performing physically demanding work throughout the shift

  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently when needed

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to jump in wherever help is needed

  • Ability to multitask and stay organized

  • Works well as part of a team

  • Friendly and respectful when interacting with customers, donors, volunteers, and coworkers

  • Ability to follow directions and established safety procedures

  • Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

  • Previous retail, warehouse, moving, construction, donation center, or customer service experience is helpful but not required
